She travels alone Storytelling for women's empowerment

ABOUT

The project

“She travels alone” aims to help women all around the World to overcome fear and anxiety to travel alone. Solo female travel is a powerful experience to get more self-awareness, gain leadership skills and network internationally.

Through the engagement of storytelling, “She travels alone” tells the adventures of Litz, a woman travelling the World alone. Litz is never fully described and she could represent women of all ages and nationalities.

Every post is a short story of less than 1000 words (that is less than 5 minutes reading time) and is introduced by the place where the story is based, its title and a picture which inspired it. Every location mentioned is real (e.g. hotels, cafès, restaurants, etc.), while all characters are fictional. Any referral to real events or people is purely casual. No business is advertised for profit.

She kicked-off the project “She travels alone” in 2020 after completing the “CORe: Credential of Readiness” programme of Harvard Business School Online in 2019. In 2021 she earned a Master in Satellite Systems and Services from Sapienza University of Rome. Since then, she has worked in Project Management in the Aerospace industry. Tatiana started travelling alone in 2016, going for a long weekend to London. Then she spent other weekends all around Europe, finally heading to her first 2-weeks backpacking solo vacation in Germany. After that, she gained confidence and did a volunteering experience travelling solo to Bangkok, in Thailand. Many other solo travels followed. Her longest trip so far was crossing the Atlantic Ocean on a cruise and spending two months in South America.

Besides work, Tatiana is a voracious reader and a culture hunter. In her free time, you might spot her drinking tea or sightseeing the most stunning landscapes.
